Zlatan goal scorer for Milan – exposed to racism and warning after the goal

Ibrahimovic was subjected to racism by the Roma public – warned

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 40, continues to score in Serie A.

His third goal of the season came on a free kick in the top match against Roma.

The shot thundered the Swede in after 25 minutes of play – and then he was exposed to racism.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic had never scored in eight games when Jose Mourinho coached the opposing team.

But today, at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, that suite was broken.

In the summit against Roma, it took only 25 minutes before the full hit came.

Milan got a free kick on the left just outside the offensive penalty area after Rafael Leao collapsed.

Zlatan was subjected to racism

Then the 40-year-old stepped forward and drilled the ball low to the left of goalkeeper Rui Patricio. Afterwards, he found out that the free kick’s speed was measured at 101 kilometers per hour.

– It usually goes faster, 200 kilometers per hour. It seems that the shots get slower with age, Zlatan jokes to Dazn.

The home curve reacted to the goal by shouting racist remarks in the direction of Zlatan. According to journalist Guillaume Maillard-Pacini, they sang the words “You are a gypsy”.

Zlatan hugs again after 1-0 …

… and was then warned of these gestures against the Roma audience.

The Milan player reacted by firing on and gesturing with his arms that they would sing louder. For the gesture, the referee punished the Swede with a yellow card. The captain, Fabio Maresca, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have disagreed before. Last season, Maresca showed the Swede after he said something to him. The expulsion met with criticism within the refereeing ranks and the referee was not allowed to judge Milan for the next time thereafter.

– I need to be exchanged. I feel alive. And the more they whistle, the more alive I feel. The adrenaline means everything, it gives me a lot, says Zlatan to Dazn afterwards.

Zlatan’s 400th league goal of his career

This was Ibrahimovic’s third full hit of the season in just the second match from the start.

It also meant his 400th league goal in his career, a total of 70 in the Milan jersey. The first came in 1999 in the Malmö jersey, in the home match against Västra Frölunda.

Zlatan was substituted after 57 minutes of play at the lead 2-0. In the minutes he got during the second half, the Swede managed to put another ball behind Patricio, who was blown away for a fine offside, miss a free kick and fix the penalty that Franck Kessie set.

The match ended 2-1 after a late home reduction and the victory means that the red-black-striped go up in a shared league lead with Napoli.

– Scudetton? We go for it and we believe in it. We have done well so far but the season is long, says Ibrahimovic.
