Group a
Manchester City – Paris Saint-Germain 2:1 (0:0)

Manchester City initially determined the game against PSG, which started with Neymar, Mbappé and Messi at the Etihad Stadium. The shooting statistics after 37 minutes: 10: 2 for Man City. National player Ilkay Gündogan (33rd) missed the greatest opportunity to lead the city when he hit the post.

Liverpool FC celebrated their fifth win in a row against FC Porto and have a flawless record in Group B. The team of coach Jürgen Klopp was already known as group winners before the game. Ex-Bayern player Thiago was initially successful against Porto from a distance (52nd). Mo Salah made it 2-0 (70th) with a fine individual performance.

Atletico Madrid – AC Mailland 0:1 (0:0)

AC Milan was about to end. If they were 0-0, Milan would be out of the European competitions and the last place in the table in Group B would be safe. With the late winning goal by Junior Messias (87th), everything is suddenly possible again. Atletico also have a chance of progressing, but they no longer have it completely in their own hands in the last game against Porto.

Group C
Besiktas Istanbul – Ajax Amsterdam 1:2 (1:0)

Ajax Amsterdam had already qualified for the round of 16 before the 5th matchday in the Football Champions League. With the 2-1 away win in Istanbul, the Dutch keep their clean slate and secure the group victory. For Besiktas, the season at European level is over after five defeats in a row.

Rachid Ghezzal took the lead in the first half (22nd minute) for Besikas with a penalty. Shortly before half-time, the Turks should have extended their lead, but Cyle Larin failed to Amerstdams keeper André Onana. Ajax increased the pressure in the second half and came through the substitute Sébastien Haller to equalize (54th). 15 minutes later, the striker scored his ninth goal in the fifth Champions League game and ensured the narrow away win.

Group D
Sheriff Tiraspol – Real Madrid 0:3 (0:2)

Real Madrid, and with it Inter Milan, made it through to the round of 16 with ease. The “royal” drove an undisputed 3-0 victory at Sheriff Tiraspol. David Alaba (30th), Toni Kroos (45th) and Karim Benzema (55th) scored the goals for Real. With the win, Inter Milan can no longer be displaced from the first two places. Both clubs will win the group on the last day of the match (December 7th, 2021) in a direct duel with each other.

Sheriff continues to play third in Group D in the Europa League playoffs. The club from Transnistria (Moldova) won the first leg sensationally 2-1 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu

Inter Milan – Shakhtar Donetsk 2: 0 (0: 0)

Thus, Inter Milan also has the ticket to the round of 16. The “Nerazzurri” won against Shakhtar Donetsk with two goals from striker Edin Dzeko (61st, 67th). For Donetsk, however, the season on the European stage was over. The Ukrainians remain behind with one point from five games in the last place in the table in Group D.
