Belgians abroad: City beats United in the Mancunian derby, Hazard finally gets into the game with Real

Premier League

Manchester City and starting Kevin De Bruyne won 0-2 on Manchester United’s lawn in the 186th Mancunian derby on Saturday afternoon at Old Trafford as part of Matchday 11 of the Premier League. A self-defeating goal from Eric Bailly in the 7th minute quickly put the Citizens in the driver’s seat. Bernardo Silva doubled the stake at the very end of the first period.

Manchester City take 2nd place in the standings with 23 points, 2 units behind the leader, Chelsea, who receives Burnley later in the day. The Red Devils are 5th with 17 units.

On Brighton’s side, Leandro Trossard opened the scoring from the penalty spot against Newcastle. This is the third goal of the season for the Devil.

The Red Devil gave the Seagulls the lead on penalty (24th) before Isaac Hayden equalized after the break (66th). Brighton remains 6th in the standings with 17 points.

Crystal Palace and Benteke win against Wolverhampton, without Dendoncker

Crystal Palace won 2-0 against Wolverhampton for Matchday 11 of the English Championship on Saturday. Holder with the Eagles, Christian Benteke played 89 minutes. Leander Dendoncker remained on the bench on the Wolverhampton side. Wilfried Zaha (61st) and Conor Gallagher (78th) allowed Crystal Palace to unblock the situation in the second half. In the standings, the Londoners climb to 9th place with 15 points and return to a unit of Wolverhampton, 8th with 16 points.

Wolfsburg won against Augbsurg for the 11th day of the German championship on Saturday. Christopher Nkunku had put Leipzig in charge in the first period (29th) before Marco Reus equalized for Dortmund (52nd). Yussuf Poulsen finally offered the victory to the locals (68th).

In the standings, Dortmund remain 2nd with 24 points, four less than leader Bayern Munich. Leipzig goes back to 5th place with 18 points.

Holder with Stuttgart, Orel Mangala, replaced in the 61st minute, could not avoid the defeat of his team 0-1 against Arminia Bielefeld. Masaya Okugawa gave the visitors victory in the first half. With 10 points, Stuttgart slipped to 14th place and saw Bielefeld (17th, 8 pts) come closer.

A league

In Italy, Dennis Praet played the entire game in Torino’s 1-0 defeat at La Spezia. Jacopo Sala scored the only goal of the game (58th). Torino occupy 13th place in Serie A with 14 points, three more than Spezia, 15th.

The League

Real Madrid thought they had quickly taken shelter in the first period after goals from Toni Kroos (14th) and Karim Benzema (38th). However, the Merengues saw Vallecano reduce the gap via Radamel Falcao but managed to keep their lead by one goal.

In the standings, Real Madrid temporarily take the lead with 27 points, two more than Real Sociedad who will have one more game after their trip to Osasuna on Sunday. Rayo Vallecano remains 6th with 20 points.

Landry Dimata rose in the 87th minute in Espanyol Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Granada. Adria Pedrosa (30th) and Raul de Tomas (42nd) scored the goals of the Catalans who climb to 9th place with 17 points.

League 1

Lille was forced to share at home against Angers (1-1) for the 13th day of the French football championship. On the bench at kickoff, Amadou Onana rose in the 75th minute for LOSC. Tiago Djalo had given the advantage to the French champions in the first period (27th) before Azzedine Ounahi equalized for Angers at the end of the game (83rd), a few minutes after the rise to the game of Amadou Onana (75th).

In the standings, Lille remains stuck in 12th place with 16 points, two less than Angers who climbed to 7th place.

Turkey

Istanbul Basaksehir notched a fourth success in a row beating Yeni Malatyaspor 1-3 for Matchday 12 of the Turkish league on Saturday. Nacer Chadli played 72 minutes for the Istanbulites. Tolga Cigerci opened the scoring for Istanbul Basaksehir with an assist from Nacer Chadli. After the break, Edin Visca (59th) and former Anderlecht player Stefano Okaka (61st) fixed the score at 0-3. Kubilay Kanatsizkus saved the honor for the locals in added time (90th + 2).

In the standings, Basaksehir climbed to 8th place with 18 points. Yeni Malatyaspor is 16th with 12 points.
